I’ve made the same mistake in the past many times. And now that I’m running Lorenum (a startup venture studio), I decided to find a way to systematically gauge demand for product ideas BEFORE we invest any time or money into any of them.
Today, I’m happy to announce the launch of Idea Screening Lab – A platform where you can check the demand for your ideas before you start building using SEO keyword data.
The idea is fairly simple. You enter a brief product description and our Natural Language Processor will parse out and aggregate SEO keyword data that is relevant to the product description. This works on digital as well as physical products. You can basically find out what people are searching for and why in order to approximate demand product opportunities.

The platform creates a report for each idea that looks like this.
